Stroke Towards Better Prevention and Comprehensive & Distinct Rehabilitation

Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Faisal bin Yaqoob Al-Hamar, Minister of Health,
             Bahrain Physical Therapy Association is organizing a community-dedicated workshop:

“Stroke … Towards Better Prevention and Comprehensive & Distinct Rehabilitation”

             This will be held on Saturday, 2^nd of October 2010 from 9:00 am till 6:00 pm, at Bahrain International     Exhibition Center.

Stroke is considered the number one cause of disability around the world. For each 100,000 of the world        population 518 people is estimated to have stroke yearly and 33% of who had stroke will remain with permanent   disability.         
         This workshop is aimed to raise public awareness regarding how to prevent stroke and to help patients with stroke to find the best and effective methods of rehabilitation.

The workshop prevention program will include free investigation and assessment of the potential factors that causes stroke such as blood pressure, blood sugar, diet, fitness level, etc.

The workshop rehabilitation program will include free consultation by neurologists, specialized physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietician, social workers, psychologists, etc. The exhibition will include private hospitals and clinics, pharmacies, medical equipments agents in Bahrain and GCC. All GCC physical therapy and medical associations will be invited to this event.

·        Titanium membership  (Fees: BD 180) Saving more than BD 80

Features:

1) Members can attend any two local courses for Free.

2) Members can attend one international course for 50% discount.

3) 20%  Discounts on any course conducted by BPTA

4) Member will have the advantage to register to any course two weeks before the actual starting registration period.

5)Members can cancel only one course(local or international )  up to one week before commencing of  the course without any penalties.

6) Can attend any symposium, seminars or refreshment  courses conducted by the BPTA for free.

• Golden membership (Fees: BD 120) Saving more than BD 30

Features:

1) Members can attend any two local courses for Free.

2) Member will have the advantage to register to any course one week before the actual starting registration period.

3) 20%  Discounts on any course conducted by BPTA.

4)Members can cancel only one course(local or international )  up to two weeks before commencing of  the course without any penalties.

1) Members can attend one local course for Free.

4)Members can cancel only one course(local or international )  up to two weeks before commencing of the course without any penalties.

·        Classic Memberships (Fees: BD 20)

Features:

1) 20%  Discounts on any course conducted by BPTA.

Terms and Conditions:

1) Memberships will be effective from the date of payment and will end on 31-12-2011.

2) Members cannot benefit from the memberships features after the expiration date.

3) Members of any selected membership options can only benefit from their membership features after the activation of their membership card (see condition 1).

4) Courses attended before the membership activation will be not counted towards the membership features nor will be refunded. 

5) BPTA can grantee the first  20 seats in any course conducted by the BPTA for all the members in options Titanium, Golden and Silver within the period mentioned in their features.

6) Any registration after the period mentioned in the features of each memberships (Titanium, Golden and Silver) will be based on availability of the seats.

7) Members can upgrade their membership from one option to another by paying the fees difference.

8) Late payment penalties will be applied on all memberships options.

9)  Any upgrading after March 1, 2010 will be charged BD 10.

1) Who can benefit from the membership options?

  Physiotherapists or Occupational therapists from Bahrain or international.

2) What is the fees for local and international courses?

o       Local courses will be BD 65 for members and BD 80 for non-members.

o       International courses will be in range of BD 150-BD250 for members and   BD 200- BD 300 for non-members.*

*Titanium members will have advantage of 50% discount on the members rate mentioned for the international course.
